Yesterday, I conducted a live workshop on the topic of "loaded flexibility," where participants were guided through four distinct sessions utilizing dumbbells and kettlebells.
The main focus was on movement with external load, incorporating either dynamic repetitions or an isometric setup. A combined approach is also possible, where you start with dynamic repetitions and finish with an isometric hold, or reverse the sequence by beginning with an isometric hold and ending with dynamic repetitions. There are numerous ways to organize the exercises, and as always, it ultimately depends on your purpose and the amount of time you want to dedicate.
My recommendations are to aim for 2-4 sets of each exercise, adjusting the intensity based on the load. If you choose a heavier load, perform fewer repetitions, whereas a lighter load will require more repetitions to achieve a fatigue response.
